Jarrod Davis has been a minister in the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church since 2012. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 2006 with a BA in English, and from Duke Divinity School at Duke University with a Master of Divinity in 2016. He has particular interests in agrarian theology and Old Testament studies.
Born and raised in eastern North Carolina and the son of a Methodist minister, Jarrod grew up in several different rural communities, but always kept one foot on the family farm in Wayne County that dates back to before the American Revolution. Jarrod married Jessica in 2011 but insisted that she leave behind her native soil of San Diego, CA in favor of the seasonal changes of NC. The two welcomed their first daughter, Castine, in 2014, and their second daughter, Lucyanne, in 2016. Jarrod previously served as pastor of Mt. Tirzah UMC in Timberlake, NC and currently serves as pastor of Center UMC in Sanford, NC.
